My daughter (a new mother) really wanted this item. She is pretty “picky”, so it must be good.

I ordered this bag for a new baby. It has everything I need! Perfect amount of space (although I may need more room once baby’s clothes get bigger) plus it’s stylish.

So I was really excited about this bag. I wanted it so bad. Thought it was going to be my favorite diaper bag ever! I was highly mistaken. This bag is cute in person if you look at it. But the materail is just awaful. The free diaper bag you get in the hospital when you have a baby that is a black plastic… thats what this one was like. Very hard, cruchchy… and the zipper looked like it was going to come undone after about 3 days of use.
I returned the bag…

Now that I have been using this bag for almost 5 months, I can give a review. First off, this is a very cute, stylish bag, obviously. It has lots of handy compartments which I use. There’s a place for my keys, phone, wallet, diapers, etc. The green lining is cute BUT. . . the edge of the fabric along the seams of the inner lining is completely shredding, leaving threads. I had to cut them since they were getting tangled up and messy. So far it has not completely TORN but is pretty annoying.
Also, the clips for my keys, which I was thrilled with, both broke. I simply used pliers to squeeze them back in place. The shoulder strap on this bag is also a problem. There is no padding and it is very difficult to carry on the shoulder due to it’s width. I usually throw it on my BOB along the handlebars and it stays put there. But if I have the baby in a sling, then there is no way for me to bring along this bag.
As far as capacity, this is a big bag and can carry loads of stuff. When I travel it comes with me on the plane, crammed with baby stuff, magazines, and stuff for my other kids as well.
I do get compliments on the style of this bag, but for the price, I would not recommend it until the lining problem is resolved.

I purchased this bag using baby shower gift money. It was my one big splurge and overall, I’ve been very happy with it. In fact, my husband sadly lost the bag yesterday and we loved it so much we are buying another one. Yes, it’s a bit of a luxury item, being a $250 diaper bag, but if you are trying to hang on to a bit of stylishness as a new mom who’s perpetually covered in spitup, then you will love this bag. It truly makes you feel like you’ve still “got it” a little bit. The leather is absolutely luscious, exactly what I’d expect from a designer bag. The trimmings are a nice solid metal that my now 5 month old loves chewing on, and it’s holding up just fine. In fact, I love that you can remove the metal rings that attach the strap with a little hinge. It makes a great teething toy for him, and the ring is large enough that it’s not a choking hazard and he can hang onto it easily. I love the roomy outside pockets, two small on one side and one large on the opposite side. I try to keep one small pocket reserved for my wallet, phone, keys, etc. and the other is given over to the little baby bobs and bits like extra pacifiers, etc. There are end pockets on the bag, one on each end, but they are so small and deep that they are of little use… I keep my inhaler in one, but that’s it. It would be VERY nice if those pockets were bigger and could hold a bottle or as he gets older a sippy cup. Even the larger side pockets aren’t really great for holding a bottle, which is probably the bag’s biggest drawback. The bag does come with an insulated drawstring bottle bag, but it doesn’t keep the bottle very cold, so if your baby was more of a bottle baby, this would be a big concern. We are nursing most of the time, so it’s not too much of a problem, and then when he does have a bottle with him, it’s breastmilk, which isn’t as much of a spoilage concern as formula. But if you knew you were going to be bottle feeding and using formula, this would be a bigger concern. I imagine a bag with insulated bottle pockets would be better. That said, there really aren’t a lot of options in the leather diaper bag category (trust me I searched high and low) For me, I’ve decided that when Jude gets older we will use insulated sippy cups to avoid the worries of milk spoilage.
Also, the diaper changing pad that comes with the bag is way too big to comfortably store in the bag, it’s thick and very padded and rolls up into a fat roll that is a big waste of space. We got a thinner one that can be more easily wiped down. The wipes case sucks too. The little ziptop bag is nowhere near large enough to be a true wet bag, but makes a great bag for keeping medicine, nail clippers, and an extra pacifier that we’d like to keep clean.
The only other thing that would be nice would be if the bag were a tad larger, as it’s a tight squeeze for us since we do cloth diapers and they take up more space. But if you were doing disposables, you’d probably be just fine with this bag. Overall, a very stylish, very high quality bag that could have benefited with just a little more thought in the details to make it a good diaper bag.
